2008 California Distinguished School - Synergy Charter Academy was selected as a 2008 California Distinguished School by the California Department of Education. Synergy Charter Academy was the only school in South Los Angeles to receive this award in 2008.

2008 California Charter School of theYear - The California Charter Schools Association has named Synergy Charter Academy as 2008 California Charter School of the Year as part of its annual Hart Vision Awards.

2007 National Charter School of theYear - The Center for Education Reform has named Synergy Charter Academy a 2007 National Charter School of the Year for being a leader in creating educational equity for all students.

USC UrbanEd Magazine - Synergy Academies' Co-Founders/Co-Directors, Meg Palisoc and Randy Palisoc, and some of our first grade students are featured on the cover of the University of Southern California's Rossier School of Education's UrbanEd Magazine (Fall/Winter 2005). The magazine includes an Alumni Profile article about the Palisocs and their experiences starting a successful new school.

BP A+ for Energy Grant - Synergy Charter Academy is honored to be a four-time recipient of a $10,000 A+ for Energy Grant from the BP Company for energy-related science materials. Students in Grades K-5 showcased their energy projects at a Community Energy Science Fair.

Riordan Recreational Reading Grants - Congratulations to Mrs. Epps, Mrs. Deomampo, and Mrs. Bárcenas for winning free books for their classroom libraries through the Riordan Recreational Reading Grants.
